The Airman & Family Readiness Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is joining Moody Air Force Base outside Valdosta, Georgia, and other partners for a virtual expo Sept. 17 that will give military spouses from Georgia bases tools for success.

The Virtual Military Spouse Career Empowerment Expo, which will be held online from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., will be held exclusively for spouses of active duty, guard and reserve service members assigned to Robins, Moody, Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Fort Stewart, Georgia, and Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia.

Dell Steplight, Employment Assistance Program manager at the Robins A&FRC, said the free event will offer these spouses ways to prepare for a better future.

“The spouse expo will offer military spouses an opportunity to discover employment and educational opportunities, resources and best practices,” she said. “There will be several sessions and agencies for spouses to choose from, including Georgia Department of Labor, scholarship information, preparing for virtual interviews, and others.”

Steplight said the expo will also offer military spouses networking guidance, resume advice, education options and self-care tips that may benefit families as a whole.

Eligible military spouses may register now for the virtual expo at https://events.bizzabo.com/Moody.
