Bibb County School District Hosting Convocation Virtually on August 6th

The Bibb County School District will kick off the 2020-2021 school year by hosting Convocation virtually for about 3,000 employees on Thursday, August 6, at 9 a.m. The District will name its 2021 Bibb County Teacher of the Year during Convocation.

This year’s theme for Convocation is “Mission First, People Always 2.0.” Superintendent Dr. Curtis L. Jones Jr., the 2019 National Superintendent of the Year, will serve as the keynote speaker and share his vision for the year ahead.

All school-level 2020-2021 Teachers of the Year will be recognized during Convocation. Finalists for 2021 Bibb County Teacher of the Year are: Keywon Harvey, Central High School; Thomas Cote, Heritage Elementary School; Dr. Eric Fuller, Howard Middle School; Erin Kelly, Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School; and Amanda Maddox, Rutland High School.
