Houston Healthcare Announces Chief Operating Officer

Houston Healthcare Chief Executive Officer, Charles Briscoe, announces the appointment of Dr. Melinda D. Hartley as the new Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Houston Healthcare, which includes Houston Medical Center, Perry Hospital and all Houston Healthcare facilities. Dr. Hartley will assume her position on February 24, 2020.
 
Dr. Hartley has been a leader in her nursing and executive career over the last 25 years. Whether it was in service of our great nation as an officer in the United States Navy, a nurse leader at St. Joseph Candler, an entrepreneur, or in the role as our own Vice President for Patient Care Services, Mindy has distinguished herself as a paradigm of professionalism, consummate team builder, and an engaged healthcare leader who delivers results.

In addition to her many professional accomplishments, Dr. Hartley has distinguished herself academically. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration, Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Management and a terminal degree, Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Medical College of Georgia.
