Mercer University Stetson-Hatcher School of Business is ranked among the top 25% of online MBA programs nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Programs Rankings.

Mercer’s Online Master of Business Administration is designed to meet the needs of busy working professionals who wish to further develop management and leadership skills. Students who progress through the program at the recommended pace can earn an MBA in as little as 18 months.

U.S. News publishes annual rankings of online MBA programs, the most popular graduate business degree program, based on five categories: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, student excellence, and student services and technologies.

Additionally, Mercer’s online MBA is ranked No. 46 among such programs for veterans. The University’s commitment to the military has earned federal designation as a “Principles of Excellence” institution, as well as recognition as a Military Friendly School, a “Best for Vets” college and Georgia’s first Purple Heart University.

“We are delighted to continually increase our ranking year over year of our online programs,” said Dr. Julie Petherbridge, interim dean of Stetson-Hatcher School of Business. “This ranking is a measure of the dedicated work of our faculty and staff, who have built an excellent student-centered program.”

Furthermore, the School of Business appeared on The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Business Schools for 2020,” released in November, highlighting the top 248 on-campus MBA programs in the country.

The Princeton Review does not rank the on-campus MBA programs from 1 to 248, or name one business school best overall. It chooses schools for the list based on data collected from surveys of administrators at business schools on academic offerings, admissions requirements and graduate employment, and also takes into account student surveys on academics, student body, campus life and more.

Students praised Mercer’s “extremely dedicated professors,” who balance top-notch business skills with a true desire “to help students succeed,” and said the business school attracts students from “diverse age ranges and backgrounds,” as well as at different points in their careers.

Mercer’s flexible MBA is popular with local professionals, who call it “Atlanta’s most accommodating MBA program for working students.”
