People will also have the chance to register for continuing education through Central Georgia Technical College and other job training opportunities. Both Project ID and Registered & Ready will be in attendance to help people register to vote assist them with identification creation.

“This is a chance to ‘meet people where they are’ and make sure the programs we offer are the ones needed to help them have a better future,” says Tedra Huston, Executive Director of the CEA.

She points out they are getting ready to begin building 17 new homes in Historic Pleasant Hills as part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s mitigation effort. That effort also included the creation of The Little Richard House Resource Center, Jefferson Long Park, and Linear Park, as well as infrastructure improvements.

“Our goal is to enhance the community, not only through new housing, but also by increasing our community’s economic development,” she adds.
