Baldwin County Approves Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement with City of Milledgeville

On the evening of Tuesday, September 17,, 2019 Baldwin County approved an animal control intergovernmental agreement with the City of Milledgeville.

County Attorney David McRee stated that with the expiration of the Service Delivery Strategy (SDS), the City and County must have a new funding and service agreement before the County can legally provide Animal Control services inside the City. The County-approved IGA outlines the provision of services, the funding for these services and the term of the Agreement. The agreement was submitted to the City of Milledgeville for its approval on September 18, 2019. The County awaits a response from the City Council.
