Bike Walk Macon, NewTown Macon, and Better Block are co-hosting a special initiative in early November 2019 to promote and improve bikeability along Walnut Street extending from Rogers Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Please join us for community kickoff event on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Bike Walk Macon headquarters at 338 Poplar Street to hear a brief overview of the goals of the project, contribute your ideas to shape the direction, and even participate in painting a bike lane...while enjoying FREE tacos!

This event is a continuation of the placemaking activities from 2016 in which 8 80 Cities, Better Block, NewTown Macon, and Bike Walk Macon joined forces to roll out and experiment with various types of bike lanes across the city, encouraging community members to try out new types of transportation.
