The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2019-20 class of Youth Leadership Baldwin (YLB).

The YLB program is conducted under the direction of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber and is designed for high school juniors in Baldwin County who want to develop their leadership skills, broaden their network and make an impact in their community.

The participants meet once a month for 8 months and each session covers a different topic, such as Public Safety, Healthcare, Local Government, Industry, Interviewing Skills and much more. The program’s goal is to teach students leadership skills, increase their social and professional network and create community awareness, so they have a better understanding of the community resources, opportunities, issues and other factors influencing Baldwin County’s future. Since the program’s inception in 1999, well over 200 students have graduated from YLB.

Do you know a student that wants to visit the State Capitol in Atlanta or see the inside of a court room? Do you know someone that enjoys meeting and interacting with students from other schools as well as key, influential people in Milledgeville and Baldwin County? Do you have a student in mind that wants to get more involved in his or her hometown? If you answered yes to one of these questions, then have him or her apply to YLB!

Starting August 1, interested juniors can apply on-line at on the Chamber’s Wed site, http://bit.ly/ylb2019form or can call the Chamber to get a paper application at 478-453-9311.
