Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan announced the members of the Senate Gaming and Pari-Mutuel Wagering on Horse Racing and Growing Georgia’s Equine Industry Study Committee, pursuant to SR 367. Senator Brandon Beach will chair the committee, while Senators Ed Harbison, Tony Anderson and Nikema Williams will serve as members alongside Gretchen Corbin, President and CEO of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

“I have an abundance of faith in the work this committee will achieve in the upcoming weeks and months,” Duncan said. “It is imperative we properly evaluate this issue in order to unpack the potential economic impact this industry could bring to our state, and more specifically, the agricultural community. I look forward to seeing the fruits of this committee’s labor.”
