GEICO's Malloy Elected AVP of Underwriting in Macon

The GEICO Board of Directors has elected Gerald Malloy assistant vice president of underwriting for the company’s Midwest regional operations; he will be based at the GEICO regional office in Macon, Georgia.

Malloy previously work out of GEICO’s Virginia Beach, Virginia, regional office as director of motorcycle/RV operations.

He started with GEICO in January 2007 in the Iowa City, Iowa office as a service associate. A year later, he transferred to the sales division. In February 2009, Malloy was promoted to sales supervisor.

In 2011, he transferred to the company’s corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland, to share his experience and skills. He returned to supervisory roles in 2013 when he transferred to the Indianapolis office. A year later, he was promoted to manager and moved to the Tucson, Arizona regional office. He left Tucson to lead the motorcycle/RV team in 2018.

Malloy holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Iowa.
