Overnight Intermittent Lane Closures on US 80/Georgia 11/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Macon This Week

Film crews will be working in some areas of US 80/Georgia 11/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Downtown Macon this week. To accommodate them, intermittent lane closures will occur on US 80/Georgia 11/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Plum Street to Cherry Street in two overnight shifts: the first from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 16 to 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 17, 2019, and the second from 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 18 to 7:00 a.m. Friday, Apr. 19, 2019. 

During these intermittent lane closures, all lanes of traffic on US 80/Georgia 11/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Plum Street to Cherry Street will be restricted to traffic for three-to-five minute intervals. Law enforcement officers will be on site to stop and restart traffic as needed. 

Motorists who encounter the closures are urged to follow the directions of the law enforcement officers, to be patient and to drive carefully through the film crew's work zone when given the 'all clear' to proceed. For alternate routes, call Georgia 511 or check the free Georgia 511 app.
