Commission to Begin Hearings on Georgia Power 2019 Integrated Resources Plan

The Georgia Public Service Commission (Commission) will begin its scheduled review of the Georgia Power Company 2016 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) in Dockets 42310 and 42311 on Monday April 8, 2016 at 9 a.m. The hearing will continue on Tuesday April 9, 2016 and on Wednesday April 10, 2016 (if necessary.) The hearing in Room 110 at 244 Washington Street, S.W. Atlanta, Georgia.

April 8-10, 2019               Georgia Power presents direct testimony

April 25, 2019                     Interested parties file testimony

May 13-16, 2019              Staff and interested parties present direct testimony

May 30, 2019                     Georgia Power may file rebuttal testimony

June 11-12, 2019              Georgia Power may present rebuttal testimony

June 24, 2019                    Proposed briefs and orders due

July 16, 2019                      Commission issues decision

The Commission is scheduled to issue a decision on the Georgia Power IRP at its Regular Administrative Session July 16, 2019.
 
As required by law since 1992 (O.C.G.A §46-3A-1), the IRP is the utility’s long-range plan for and forecast of the state’s electric power needs for the next three years. The statutory deadline for a Commission decision in this docket is July 29, 2016.
