Tax Commissioner S. Wade McCord to Hold Seminar on Subsequent Tax Sale Process Today

The Bibb County Tax Commissioner’s Office will hold the first of four seminars on the new Subsequent Tax Sale process on Thursday, March 14 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Commission Chambers at Government Center (700 Poplar Street). If you are unable to attend this seminar, there will be three more seminars on March 28, April 4, and April 18.

“If you are interested in bidding, I strongly encourage you to attend a seminar to learn more about the process,” says S. Wade McCord. "This is a way which we can help fight blight in our communities through neighborhood revitalization."

The Subsequent Tax Sale/Auction will be held on September 3, 2019 and includes properties that failed to sell at an earlier tax sale. The starting opening bid for these properties will be approximately $400, and advance registration is required to bid,
