Mercer University’s 12th annual Bearstock music festival, presented by student programming board QuadWorks, will take place April 6 and include a free concert from 12-5 p.m. in Tattnall Square Park that is open to the community.

The outdoor concert will feature six local and regional artists, including Kim Meeks, 95.Waves (featuring Kaffo, the Sensei), Simeon, Em&Ed and Hindsight.

The family-friendly event will also include food and merchandise vendors and free children’s activities. This year’s vendors include Pinky’s Shaved Ice, Peace of Pita, Monster Foods, Tasty Prayer, Kathy’s Rock, SoulSisters Dyecrafts, as well as various student organizations with crafts and activities.

“We’re excited to continue growing the participation and excitement of Bearstock for both students and the Macon community,” said QuadWorks President Addison Robinson.

The outdoor concert will be followed by Bearstock After Dark, a private, ticketed concert for Mercer students and their guests, from 8-11 p.m. in Hawkins Arena.

“We’re excited about our lineups for daytime and Bearstock After Dark,” said senior Ellie Parker, a member of the Mercer Live Committee of QuadWorks. “We worked hard to have a little something for everyone’s taste and make it another memorable Bearstock.”
