The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center will celebrate the first anniversary of the new Macon Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) March 21, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. at the new location in Macon. The anniversary marks the first year the CBOC operated with an all-VA staff. The medical center’s interim director will recognize the accomplishments of the clinic’s staff.

The clinic is located at 5566 Thomaston Road, Macon, Georgia.

“The Macon employees have been working very hard for our Veterans,” said Robert F. Reeder, interim medical center director. “They accomplished so much over the last year.”

The Macon CBOC added the additional services of audiology and optometry, and an eye clinic for Veterans to pick out frames. They have a fully-staffed prosthetics department and more staff in the Mental Health Department. Also, an additional Georgia Veterans Service representative relocated to the clinic to handle benefits and claims.
