Connie Hampton, DNP, RN, Interim Director of the Carl Vinson Veterans Affairs Medical Center, will be hosting a community outreach and information event at the Joseph N. Neel Jr., American Legion Post #3 in Macon, Georgia, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Home Base Primary Care

Foster Home

Readjustment Counseling

Peer Support

Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Program

Care Coordination

Non-VA Care in the Community

Community Living Center Placement

Contract Nursing Placement

The VAMC will also provide flu shots and blood pressure checks for all veterans who attend the outreach event. “VA has been expanding care in the community since 2014 to ensure our veterans are seen in a timely manner,” Hampton said. “It’s also important for the community to know what VA offers to veterans in terms of health care and other benefits.”
