Coliseum Medical Centers to Host Healthy Cooking Class Wednesday

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Monday, February 11th, 2019

Coliseum Medical Centers will host a free seminar called “Living Healthy: Our Guide for a Heart Healthy Diet & Lifestyle” on Wednesday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of Coliseum Medical Centers.  This seminar will feature Dr. Jonathan Hoffman, a local cardiologist and electrophysiologist, who will explain why diet plays such an important role in your heart health. He and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Hoffman, will also share their tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  The hospital’s head chef and dietician will also prepare a few heart healthy recipes and samples will be available!

Dr. Jonathan Hoffman said, “The way we eat has an effect on our heart health. The month of February is Heart Month, and that gives us a great opportunity to remind our community that heart health is important.  Little changes can have a big impact.”

A healthy lifestyle and diet are important for heart health and for quality of life. By making lifestyle changes, including eating habits, the risk for heart disease is reduced. Guests can celebrate this Valentine's Day with new ideas for a heart healthy lifestyle! All participants will receive a perfect portion dinner plate.

Guests can register for this event by calling (478) 746-4646 or by visiting the “Classes and Events” section of our website, www.coliseumhealthsystem.com.
