Kofi Cash, Vice President of Quality & Patient Safety at Fairview Park Hospital has recently become a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. ACHE offers the FACHE credential, signifying board certification in healthcare management.

The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of 48,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. Less than 20% have earned Fellowship distinction.

To become a fellow, candidates must do the following:

·         Possess an advanced graduate degree

·         3 or more years of tenure as a member of ACHE

·         Demonstration of civic and community involvement

·         5 or more years of executive level management experience

·         2 professional references from designated Fellows

·         36 continuing education credits

·         Pass a Board of Governor’s examination

Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
