Robins Air Force Base hosted their Small Business Industry Day for local contractors, November 1, 2018, at the Museum of Aviation.

“It allows contractors to meet the requirements owner,” said Angela Dial, Robins Small Business Office director.

The 78th Civil Engineer Group, Air Force Reserve Command, Army Corps of Engineers and General Services Administration have the majority of construction work on Robins, and the event, facilitated by the Robins Small Business Office, helped local contractors learn about upcoming construction opportunities on the base.

Members of Team Robins gave presentations to all the local contractors in the morning and then had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with each contractor in the afternoon.

“The main benefit of the afternoon session is not to find out about specific requirements but to present their company's capabilities to the requirements team,” Dial said.

The Robins Small Business Office gets quite a few queries about doing business with the Air Force.

“This is how you do business with the Air Force,” said Dial. “Through events such as this one, they will learn how to do business with the government, the Air Force and with Team Robins.”

Interested contractors should contact the Small Business Office at (478) 926-5873 for help submitting a capabilities statement for potential construction work on Robins.
