The annual Business and Industry Awards Luncheon, A Salute to Business, hosted by the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and the Macon Economic Development Commission will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at the Armory Ballroom with the event beginning at 11:30 am. 

The keynote speaker, Carrie Burns, Founder and CEO of Atlanta Movie Tours, will discuss “The Georgia Film Industry.”

Burns gained a BBA and MBA in Marketing from Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics. Burns is the Founder and CEO of Atlanta Movie Tours. Since 2012, Atlanta Movie Tours has been providing a whole new way to see the city of Atlanta for visitors and locals alike. Burns has been engaged in the Atlanta film industry for years. In those years she has been striving to close the gap between crews, neighbors and local businesses in order to create a symbiotic relationship for all involved during filming. Burns often serves as a liaison between film and television crews.

Awards at the luncheon will be presented to the Startup of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Business of the Year and Outstanding Young Business Leader of the Year.
