About On The Table

On The Table is a one of a kind opportunity to bring people of diverse backgrounds together to share a meal and have meaningful conversations about topics that are important to the community. This community-wide initiative seeks to explore the ways in which we have the power to collaborate in order to make our community stronger, safer, and more dynamic.

In other communities across the country, On The Table has proven that residents share a desire to come together, collaborate more, and become more civically involved and more committee to their community. While we know that there’s no “quick fix” to the issues facing our region, progress will result from residents and organizations working to make contributions that add up to a greater solution that helps unite the place we call home.

Following On The Table, the Community Foundation of Central Georgia will survey participants to find out what issues matter most to them, and what kinds of ideas for solutions emerged from the day’s conversations. They’ll also help to share some stories of participants to help inspire others to make a difference.
