Fort Valley State University Program Ranked Top Affordable Online Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling

Fort Valley State University has the #1 affordable online degree in rehabilitation counseling, according to Best Counseling Degrees, a website which provides information and guidance for individuals pursuing a career in counseling. The website ranked programs accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs using criteria reflecting both quality and affordability. This is the second year in a row in which FVSU has earned the top honors. Other universities in the top ten include the University of Kentucky, University of North Texas, San Diego State University, Texas Tech University, Winston-Salem State University, and the University of Alabama.

Ramon Stuart, provost and vice president of academic affairs. “Our exceptional online rehabilitation counseling program ensures that our students can acquire the knowledge necessary to excel in the classroom and beyond at a price point that minimizes additional debt related to educational expenses.”

Rehabilitation counselors help people gain independence as they work through mental, physical, and emotional challenges by strengthening their developmental, vocational, and educational skills. They work in settings ranging from hospitals and community health clinics to substance abuse treatment programs, schools, and correctional facilities. FVSU’s faculty is committed to excellence in the field and preparing students to enable others to live full lives.
