Bibb County: Permanent Lane Closure Scheduled on Coliseum Drive/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard

The Georgia DOT is advising motorists in Macon/Bibb County that contractors with the I-16/I-75 improvements project will be permanently closing the southbound right lane on Coliseum Drive/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Clinton Street to Riverside Drive. The closure will occur on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, starting at 7:00 a.m.

The closure is called 'permanent' because it will be in effect for at least a year. Southbound traffic in that section will be reduced to one lane, while northbound traffic will remain in both lanes. The southbound left turn lane on to the eastbound I-16 exit ramp will not be affected in any way.

When: Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, 7:00 a.m.

Where: Coliseum Drive/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Macon, from Clinton Street to Riverside Drive
