Wesleyan College welcomes Robert L. Moye II (Bobby) as vice president for business and finance and chief financial officer. Moye comes to Wesleyan from Oak Hall School in Gainesville, Florida, where he served as chief financial officer overseeing the financial affairs, security, and facilities departments. Prior, Moye was vice president for finance at Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia. A certified public accountant, Moye began his career in education administration at the independent, secondary school level in Chattanooga, Tennessee, serving at institutions including McCallie School and Girls Preparatory School.

According to President Vivia Folwer, “We are thrilled to welcome Bobby to the Wesleyan community. He will be working collaboratively with other campus leaders to maintain fiscal responsibility as outlined in the College’s new, three-year strategic plan. Bobby is a strong and innovative leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who has been successful in motivating others. He is a great addition to Wesleyan’s team.”

Moye earned both his master of accountancy and his bachelor of science in business administration (with honors) from the University of Tennessee. He said, “The combination of Wesleyan’s proud history, great support from the Wesleyan community, and the benefits of working on a beautiful campus, I consider this a dream position to wrap up a financial administrator's career. It is an honor to play a major role in Wesleyan’s future.”

Moye and his wife Melinda will join the Wesleyan family in early October along with their two lively schnauzers, Whiskers and Little Man. The Moyes have three adult children - a son living in Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter in college in Chattanooga, and a son in St. Petersburg, Florida.
