U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., applauded the announcement by leadership of the Robins Air Force Base Air Logistics Complex in Warner Robins, Ga., that it will be launching a new hiring initiative to bring 1,200 new jobs to the area in the next 12 months.
 
Through direct hiring authority and one-stop hiring events, the U.S. Air Force, in coordination with community partners such as the 21st Century Partnership, will work to fill jobs more quickly across a spectrum of the logistics and aircraft sustainment mission at Robins Air Force Base.
 
“Just as I have been proud to work on behalf of Robins Air Force Base and its critical missions, I look forward to aiding in every possible capacity this new initiative to ensure the continued vitality of Robins and the community,” said Isakson. “I am working in Washington to make sure we provide our service members and the U.S. military with the resources needed to protect our national security interests around the world. I applaud 21st Century Partnership for its efforts on behalf of the base, and I am thankful to the leadership at Robins Air Force Base and the dedicated men and women serving in the workforce here in Warner Robins who work every day to support our national defense.”
 
According to the Air Force, new workload at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex and growth of the existing workload are rapidly driving increased hiring and manpower requirements across the base. To meet the growing workforce needs, Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex is working with community partners to improve civilian hiring processes through newly obtained direct hire authority and one-stop hiring events to fill 1,200 new jobs at the base over the next 12 months.
 
The Air Logistics Complex at Robins Air Force Base is routinely recognized as the best in the nation. Its ability to perform maintenance on time and within budget directly impacts our military’s ability to project power around the world. Recently, Isakson has aided the Air Logistics Complex in securing maintenance contracts for C-130J aircraft for the entire U.S. Department of Defense.
