JMA Architecture recently joined College and State Officials, Benning Construction Company and members of the community to celebrate the Groundbreaking at Gordon State College.

“This is going to be a wonderful facility for the college,” said Jim Mehserle, President of JMA Architecture.

“This building will serve as the welcome door for the college and provide a centralized location for students to access services in one convenient location.”

The event featured remarks by State Representatives, Robert Dickey and David Knight, and Gordon State College President Kirk Nooks.  Also on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking were staff and faculty from Gordon State College.

“This building represents the realization of a dream for the college,” stated Luis Morales, JMA Architecture’s Gordon State College Project Director. “Knowing we get to help the college better serve their current and future students is very rewarding.”

This new facility will take approximately 12 months to complete, and will include Admissions, Financial Aid, Cashier/Bursar and a shop for GSC souvenirs. In addition, visiting students will be able to see multimedia presentations in a state of the art presentation room at the initiation of campus tours.
