Friday, July 13th, 2018

Goodwill Industries is pleased to announce the opening of its newest retail store and attended donation location in Gray.

The store, located at 212 West Clinton Street, will be staffed with 20 full- and part-time Goodwill employees. In addition to retail staff, there will be other employees ready to accept donations of clothing, housewares, electronics and other items.

The center will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm and from noon until 6:00 pm on Sunday.  Local officials, community partners and Goodwill representatives are invited for a ribbon cutting ceremony and will welcome donations from the community on Thursday, July 12 at 9:00 am.

“The revenue generated from the sale of merchandise in Goodwill training stores support the training and employment programs offered by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia,” said local Goodwill President Jim Stiff.  “The attended donation center will provide a convenient way for people to donate the things they no longer need and support Goodwill’s human and economic development mission.

Goodwill relies on the support of the communities that it serves to donate gently used clothing and household goods to sell in its retail stores. Donations are accepted at all area retail stores during store hours as well as strategically located attended donation centers throughout Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, Lake Oconee, Dublin and now in Gray.

Revenue from donations sold in Goodwill retail training stores support Goodwill’s training, education and career development services provided through the Helms College and Goodwill’s Career Center.

In 2017, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA proudly provided career services to over 185,000 individuals and helped find employment for over 6,000 unemployed people.
