Dublin VAMC to Host Townhall for Stakeholders May 31st

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Wednesday, May 30th, 2018

The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center will host a townhall for veterans, their families, and other stakeholders May 31, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The townhall is an outreach tool the VA uses to provide local veterans an open forum and for VA officials to hear directly from stakeholders to learn what VA needs to improve as well as what the VA is doing right.

The interim director David VanMeter is hosting the event along with a number of VA staff who will answer questions veterans and other stakeholders have about programs and services. Tables will be set up with information on VA and medical center programs.

“We are committed to providing veterans with personalized, proactive healthcare while delivering the gold standard of customer service,” said VanMeter. “We have multiple channels to hear from the veterans, but nothing can replace personal interaction. A face-to-face is the best way to hear a Veteran’s voice.”

The town hall meeting will be in the Dublin VA’s auditorium on the second floor of Building 2. The meeting is open to all.
