A Middle Georgia State University student organization is hosting a voter registration drive on the Macon Campus from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. MGA students, employees, and members of the community are welcome to register to vote or learn how to check their registration status at this event.

The University's Gay-Straight Alliance is organizing the registration drive in cooperation with the Middle Georgia State chapter of the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a national awards program that recognizes institutions for their commitment to increasing student voting rates. Representatives of the New Georgia Project, a non-partisan effort to register and civically engage new voters, will assist with registration.

Voter registration tables will be set up at three locations on the Macon Campus: the lobby of the Student Life Center, the lobby of the Charles H. Jones Building, and the Library lobby that faces west toward the fountain. The University’s Macon Campus is located off Eisenhower Parkway two miles west of Macon Mall.
