Theresa Hurt, owner, Progressive Communications and Deana Smith join the Alzheimer’s Association as the 2018 Event Chairs for Dancing Stars of Central Georgia.

“As previous dancers in Dancing Stars of Central Georgia, we know what it takes to host a successful event for the Alzheimer’s Association”, added Teresa Hurt, co-chair, Dancing Stars of Central Georgia. “Unfortunately, we both have been touched by Alzheimer’s in our family. The money the event raises helps all of us who are going through the Alzheimer’s journey”. 

Dancing Stars of Central Georgia is an event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Twelve Central Georgia area business leaders and philanthropists raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition.

“We could not be more thrilled and lucky to have Theresa and Deana as our chairs this year for Dancing Stars of Central Georgia”, added Laura West, director, Dancing Stars of Central Georgia. These ladies are instrumental volunteers and champions for our organization and believe in our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease”.

Dancing Stars of Central Georgia will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Georgia. In 2017, Dancing Stars of Central Georgia raised over $250,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter.
