Tattnall Square Academy’s Middle and High School Student Council raised $485 for Muscular Dystrophy Association by hosting a school wide “Dress Down Day” for a $1 donation Friday, March 9.

TSA has had two students, Scott Webb ('94) and Phelps Wade ('97), who were afflicted with MD. For this reason, TSA’s Student Council decided several years ago to make raising money for MDA one of their service projects for the year. English Teacher Shirley Kitchings has been the Middle and High School Student Council sponsor for 31 years.

“Having taught both Scott and Phelps, I realize the challenges that students like these face and am so proud that our students are making their donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of these two young men,” commented Kitchings.
