Macon Volunteer Clinic Welcomes Three New Members to its Board of Directors

Macon Volunteer Clinic is pleased to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors.

Tom Woodbery has been actively engaged with community organizations since retiring from State Bank and Trust. His professional career includes marketing management in banks and advertising agencies in Cleveland, Memphis and Macon. In addition to Macon Volunteer Clinic, Tom devotes time to Rotary, the Jazz Association of Macon, Daybreak, Read2Succeed and the Georgia Radio Reading Service.

Mike Ford, President of Ocmulgee Land Trust, has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1964. His professional career includes serving as CFO of Charter Medical Corporation, VP of Development for HCA-The Healthcare Corporation, and VP of Marketing for Meditrust in Bos-ton. Further, locally, Mike has served as Chairman of the Board for Riverside Cemetery, CEO of NewTown Macon, and Interim Director of Museum of Arts and Sciences.

Anita Watson is a nurse practitioner providing care for trauma and surgery patients at a Level 1 Trauma Center.  Anita is responsible for managing and coordinating the care of trauma and general surgery patients as part of a surgical trauma team, comprised of surgical residents and an attending physician. Anita has over 20 years experience in emergency and trauma care, and currently serves as co-chair on the Advanced Practice Nursing Council at Navicent Health Medical Center.

Rita McCurdy, Executive Director, stated, “Macon Volunteer Clinic is so fortunate to add the leadership of these three new directors to our Board. I look forward to expanded service to meet the needs of Macon-Bibb County uninsured citizens under their direction.”
