Spillers Ortho Breaks Ground in Macon

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Tuesday, February 6th, 2018

Spillers Orthodontics began a new chapter in its history on Friday, Feb. 2 with a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the start of construction for its new Macon office.

Located on New Forsyth Road, the 6,400 square-foot building will be completed by late summer. It will be the first building in a new office park offering seven other lots.

Upon completion, this office will include 10 patient treatment bays, an in-house laboratory, 3D printers, 3D imaging, 3D scanning, and the most up-to-date technology and systems that will enable Spillers Orthodontics to deliver the best orthodontic care possible. If you’ve visited the Warner Robins office complex, you will have a good idea of the look and feel of this one.

Spillers Orthodontics has spent the last few years serving the Macon community by helping patients of the late Dr. Toof Boone realize the treatment results Dr. Boone started. They have seen patients at the Northside Drive location since January of 2015. After continued requests to become a permanent fixture in Macon, plans were put in motion to construct a new, state-of-the-art facility.

“We are so excited to have a permanent home for Spillers Orthodontics in Macon. We look forward to meeting new faces and creating beautiful smiles for many generations to come,” says Dr. Don Spillers.

Dr. Don Spillers and Dr. Adam Gordon will both see patients in the Macon office. The new office will staff approximately 20 employees once it is running at full capacity.

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce helped with hosting the groundbreaking event. Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Gary Bechtel welcomed Dr. Spillers and Dr. Gordon on behalf of the County. Project contractor Chuck Stroud of Stroud and Company, Kevin Walsh of Azar & Walsh Architecture and Cleve Cunningham of Cunningham & Company Engineers were in attendance to commemorate the special occasion.
