Local Nonprofit Rebuilding Macon, Inc. to host First Annual Macon’s Cookin’ February 23rd

On Friday, February 23, Rebuilding Macon will be hosting its first annual MACON’S COOKIN’ fundraising event at the Tubman Museum in downtown Macon. The event will feature several local restaurants serving small portions of their dishes. Participants include Parish, The Rookery, Satterfield’s, Edgar’s Bistro, and Piedmont Brewpub. Over 20 restaurants will be serving in total. In addition to a wide variety of food, Macon’s Cookin’ will feature live music by Josh Carson, a silent auction, a raffle, and will be emceed by local celebrity Frank Malloy.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward Rebuilding Macon’s mission to repair homes for low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners throughout Macon-Bibb County.

“We’re looking forward to having some of the best restaurants from the Macon area come together for this exciting event,” said Debra Rollins, Rebuilding Macon’s executive director, “We really want to showcase what makes Macon so great: its food, art, music, and most importantly its people.”
