Monday, November 13th, 2017

ASP launched an #ASPHonorsHeroes social media campaign this Veterans Day to share their company's support and to connect with military service members and their families. The swimming pool franchise's corporate office, independent franchise owners, and employees shared their words of gratitude and posted photos on their corporate Facebook page @asppoolco of each local ASP team wearing ASP branded camouflage shirts.

"We would like to thank veterans and those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces this Veterans Day, and every day," said Stewart C. Vernon, Founder & CEO of America's Swimming Pool Company. "We want to be a resource and a helping hand for those veterans looking for new opportunities when transitioning from the military. ASP is always looking to hire more veterans as employees and help them realize the possibility of business ownership by offering veterans franchise incentives."

This year ASP wanted to give business support to veterans, so they partnered with Mission United, an organization that serves veterans and their families by guiding them through a united system of comprehensive services, including connecting veterans to careers through education and training. Thomas P. Swift, Jr., President & COO of ASP, presented a workshop on the 10 Steps to Start a Business at the Georgia VECTR Center (Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center) located beside Robins Air Force Base. Thanks to this partnership with Mission United, ASP was able to be a resource to over 40 entrepreneurial veterans who are transitioning from the military to the civilian sector.
