Cornerstone Government Affairs has been selected to represent the Georgia Economic Developers Association for the next year.  Cornerstone was selected after a thorough process of vetting, including a request for proposals and interviews.

Through its five-year strategic planning process in 2016 and board discussion this year, GEDA decided that it needed to be more active in the legislative process with its members and at the State Capitol.  Cornerstone was the choice to partner with GEDA to assist it in developing its public policy agenda, more fully engage GEDA members in the legislative process as well as to represent GEDA with monitoring, educating and advocating on economic development issues with legislators and executive leadership at the capitol.

Anna Chafin, GEDA 2017 Chair, and Chief Executive Officer, Development Authority of Bryan County, said that she “is pleased with the choice of Cornerstone and excited for this new venture.  GEDA has long-discussed this type of outreach and there was tremendous support by the board of directors and the general membership.  We are looking forward to a productive and effective relationship with Cornerstone.”
