The Community Foundation of Central Georgia awarded Rebuilding Macon grant funds to support Rebuilding Macon’s Volunteer Youth Services Program. This generous donation will go toward building wheelchair ramps, repairing roofs, painting exteriors, and other project costs for the program which brings student volunteers from across the nation to Macon to repair homes for those in need.

“We are very lucky to have such strong support from the Community Foundation,” said Debra Rollins, Executive Director of Rebuilding Macon, “They’ve done so much for Middle Georgia, and their continued support is what keeps us going.”

Rebuilding Macon, in partnership with the community, repairs homes for elderly and disabled, low-income homeowners throughout Macon-Bibb. They repair approximately 250 homes each year. This year, Rebuilding Macon celebrates 25 years of serving the community of Macon, Georgia.
