Macon Name and Logo To Be Announced

Macon’s new Coastal Plain League baseball team will be holding an unveiling party on Wednesday, September 27th to reveal their team name, logo and uniforms.  The event will take place at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in the Atrium Lobby beginning at 5pm.  The name and logo unveiling will take place at approximately 6:10pm in the theater.  The event will be emceed by Dan Shirley of The Telegraph, and include comments from Mayor Robert Reichert, Coastal Plain League Commissioner Justin Sellers and team co-owner Steve DeLay.
 
In keeping with the team’s all-you-can-eat ticket packages, free ballpark food and non-alcoholic drinks will be served at the event. Entry to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame is free. The public is welcome, but we ask that those who want to attend to RSVP at www.maconbaseball2018.com.  Space is limited to the first 300 people who RSVP.

Macon-Bibb’s Coastal Plain League team is scheduled to begin play in June 2018 at historic Luther Williams Field, which will undergo a $2.5M improvement project to add new concessions, improved locker rooms and additional seating options.  For more information on the team and the stadium renovations, go to www.maconbaseball2018.com.
