Cox Crews Working to Restore Services

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Wednesday, September 13th, 2017

Cox Communications crews from across the country are in Middle Georgia restoring services and repairing infrastructure damage caused by Hurricane Irma.  Cox recognizes how important television, Internet, home automation and telephone services are during an emergency, as they are a primary tool for receiving recovery information and connecting with friends and family.  Crews will be working tirelessly to reconnect impacted areas as soon as conditions allow and power is restored.

If a customer’s power is currently out and they are using a generator, they may be able to receive Cox services.  Follow these steps to test:

Plug your computer, television, digital converter and modem into a power strip and into the generator.

Connect your corded phone and computer directly to your modem

If the Cox lines to your neighborhood and house are intact, you could be able to receive Cox services.
