The Central Georgia Technical College athletics department will host a community co-ed 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, September 23 at 10 a.m. at Titans Arena, located at 1780 Anthony Road in Macon.
 
“We hope the CGTC 3-on-3 tournament becomes an annual event that showcases basketball talent in the middle Georgia area,” said Rorie Bradley, CGTC director of athletics.
 
To participate in the double elimination tournament, teams must submit their registration form and $125 team registration fee via mail to 3300 Macon Tech Drive, Macon, GA 31206 or in person to 1780 Anthony Road, Macon, GA 31204 by Monday, September 11.
 
Teams are limited to a maximum of four players, and all players must be at least 18 years of age. The first place team will receive $400, second place will earn $150, and third place team members will receive gift cards.
 
“The dollars raised will be used to help support the athletic programs at CGTC,” said Bradley. “3-on- 3 basketball has become a popular spectator sport and is now an Olympic sport. We hope the local community will make plans to attend.”
