Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Friday, August 4th, 2017

All are welcome to the grand opening celebration of Wellston Trees & Greens’ dog park at Wellston Park. Community leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, and public will gather together on August 31st at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the official opening of Wellston Park’s dog park and walking trail.  The two-acre dog park will feature agility equipment and a separate area for small and large dogs. The August 31st celebration will be the first of a series of park renovations and dog parks to make their debut in Warner Robins.  In addition to plans for a city parks & recreation office and an outdoor amphitheater, project managers say they are looking forward to starting more projects and hosting events within the park that will attract the community.

The grand opening celebration will take place on August 31st, 10:30 a.m., at 110 Olympia Drive (located at the entrance of Wellston Ridge Apartments, across from At Home on Watson Boulevard). There will be a brief program honoring the park’s stakeholders and community partnerships, including special recognition for the 116th Air Base Wing, followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Live music and local food trucks will also be on-site for guests to stay and enjoy lunch in the park.
