There were no jackpot winners in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. As a result, the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing has surged to an estimated $650 million to a single annuity winner – the second largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The jackpot began rolling June 14 and has rolled 20 times.
Four winning tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in Georgia for Saturday’s drawing. The winning tickets were sold in Augusta, Dillard, Rome and online at Additionally, over 159,000 players in Georgia won more than $868,000 in prizes Saturday.
Powerball offers two jackpot payment options: the $650 million jackpot prize paid over 29 years in 30 graduated payments; or the cash option, which is approximately $411 million.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
