Wednesday, the Fulton County Commission approved a $4 million contract to River Edge Behavioral Health to provide access to core mental health and addictive disease services to 3,000 uninsured and underinsured adult Fulton residents. 

Pending contract finalization, services are planned to begin at The Center for Health and Rehabilitation (265 Boulevard, NE Atlanta), the Fulton South Service Center (5600 Stonewall Tell in College Park) as well as at a-to-be finalized North Fulton location on January 1, 2018.

River Edge will partner with existing local providers such as Grady, MercyCare, Oakhurst, Southside, Community Health, and Community Friendship to coordinate care. Additionally, River Edge will work to improve care alongside advocacy groups such as Mental Health America, the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network, NAMI Georgia, and The Carter Center as well as work collaboratively with Partners for H.O.M.E., a key not-for-profit with a mission to end homelessness in Atlanta.
