Navicent Health Awards Teen Volunteer Scholarships

On Tuesday, August 15, Navicent Health presented the 2017 Don Faulk Teen Volunteer Scholarship to three teen volunteers. The following recipients each received awards:
 
$1,000 scholarship – Aisis Hull
Rutland High School (Bibb County)
425 hours at Heart Center, Navicent Health)

$500 scholarship – Naomi Neria
Westside High School (Bibb County)
307 hours of service at The Medical Center, Navicent Health

$500 scholarship – Samantha Tillman
Houston County High School (Houston County)
192 hours of service at Medical Center of Peach County, Navicent Health
 
The scholarships are awarded to students who have volunteered their time at Navicent Health through the health system’s Teen Volunteer Program. Teens accepted into the program commit to volunteer for a minimum of six months, giving no less than 100 hours of total service. Scholarships, named in honor of former CEO Don Faulk, are funded through The Medical Center, Navicent Health Auxiliary.
 
Applications for the 2018 Teen Volunteer Program are available September 1, 2017 - January 31, 2018.  The program assists teens from throughout central Georgia with interest in the healthcare field. Teen volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Those interested in applying for the Teen Volunteer Program should contact Navicent Health’s Office of Public Relations at (478) 633-1353.
