Exchange Bank Welcomes Chris Gibson

Exchange Bank President and Chief Executive Officer, Henry J. Pope, Jr., is pleased to announce that Chris Gibson has joined Exchange Bank as Vice President & Loan Officer.

Chris obtained his B.S. in Biology, with a double minor in Chemistry and Business Administration in 2000 from GCSU and then received his MBA from GCSU in 2002. He began his banking career at Century Bank and Trust and then joined BB&T in 2003 as an Assistant Area Operations Manager. He progressed in his career, serving the communities in Macon and Milledgeville as Assistant Vice President/Financial Center Lender, Commercial Lender and most recently working as the Milledgeville Vice President/Market Leader.
Chris has been active in the community since he attended GCSU. He is a member of the Kappa Sigma International Fraternity, Former Board Member of the GCSU Foundation, past-President of the GCSU Alumni Association, Board Member of the J. Whitney Bunting School of Business Advisory Board, Board Member Communities in Schools of Milledgeville/Baldwin County, and a graduate of both Leadership Baldwin and Leadership Macon. He is married to Karen Gibson (Robertson), who is a worker’s compensation attorney at McArthur Law Firm in Macon.

They have two children, Jude (7) and Cooper (4 months old). In his spare time, Chris enjoys tennis, golf, and coaching Little League.
