Cherry Blossom Festival Announces Executive Committee and Board of Directors

Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival announces 2017-2018 Executive Committee and Board of Directors during the July Board Meeting held at the Macon Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Don Bailey serves as the Board Chairman and the rest of Executive Committee is comprised of Carolyn Crayton, Founder; Stacy Ingram, Immediate Past Board Chair; Marvel Burgess, Festival Chair; Alex Habersham, Incoming Festival Chair; Bill Fickling, Fickling Family; Adam Cochran, KMBBC Chair; Paul Hart, Treasurer; Elizabeth Cleveland, Secretary; Stacy Campbell, President and CEO; Steve Farr, Chairman’s Club Chair.
 
The Board of Directors includes the Executive Committee as well as Steven Fulbright, Mike Dyer, Chris Floor, Julie Yates, Jaime Kaplan, Jacob Fields, Mary Hampton, Theresa Robinson, Antonio Lewis-Ross, Dr. Ivan Allen, Dr. Jimmy Asbell, Jean Bragg, Jeralyn Middleton-Craig, Karla Redding-Andrews, and Patty Gibbs.  The Chairman’s Club serves along with the Board of Directors as the legacy leaders who have guided the organization as former Festival and Board Chairs.  They include William O. Faulkner, Dr. R. Kirby Godsey, Dr. Robert Ackerman, Dr. S. Aaron Hyatt, Carr Dodson, A.P. Barry, Harold Weathers, Guy Eberhardt, Emily Myers, Melvin Kruger, Charles Jay, Roy Fickling, Dr. O’Shaughnessey, Don Miller, William Wiley, Eddie Pruett, Mark Stevens, Rev. Ronald Terry, Bill Fickling, Chip Cherry, Lowell Register, Shirley Buafo, Steve Jukes, Thomas Wicker, Steve Farr, Cyndee Busbee, George McCanless, Thomas Bacote, and General Bob McMahon.
 
Planning for the 2018 Cherry Blossom Festival scheduled for March 16-25 is well underway.  The Festival announced earlier this week the organization will be once again producing the New Year’s Eve Cherry Blossom Ball Drop with the Macon-Bibb Government.
