Capital City Bank Named Among “Best Places to Work”

Georgia Trend has listed Capital City Bank among its 2017 “Best Places to Work in Georgia.” This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Georgia, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Out of the 20 small, medium and large companies recognized, Capital City Bank ranked #5 in the “Large Companies” category.
 
“Our associates are our most valuable resource,” said Bill Smith, Capital City Bank Group chairman, president and CEO. “That’s why they are treated like family. I’m proud of our culture and honored Capital City Bank has once again been recognized as a great place to work.”
 
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the “Best Places to Work in Georgia.” The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
 
In order to be considered for the “Best Places to Work” list, the firm must be a publicly or privately held for-profit or not-for-profit business. The entity must have been in business a minimum of one year, have a facility in the state of Georgia and a minimum of 15 full or part-time employees in the state.
