Friday, June 9th, 2017

The Middle Georgia Veterans Job Readiness and Recruitment Event next week in Warner Robins will provide excellent employment opportunities in manufacturing and other industries.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Veteran’s Education Career Transition Resource Center located at 1001 S. Armed Forces Blvd. in Warner Robins.

The event is co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Workforce Division, Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc., Middle Georgia Regional Commission, VECTR and the Georgia Department of Labor.

Attendees must participate in an orientation session and be screened to determine which employability service would be most beneficial to them. While it’s not required, they are encouraged to attend a job readiness question and answer seminar that will occur throughout the event. The seminar will help jobseekers make a more favorable impression when talking with potential employers, and improve the overall effectiveness of their job search.

Several employers will be on hand to discuss available employment opportunities. Employers who have already registered include Advanced Drainage Systems, BioLife Plasma Services, Coca-Cola United, Custom Cable Assembles Inc., Dixien LLC, Dooly State Prison, Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Geotechnical and Environmental Consultants, Inc., Graphic Packaging International, Houston County Sherriff Department, Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation and Reeves Construction.
