Macon Links Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Seeking Chain of Service Awards Nominations

The Macon Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is seeking nominations for its first class of Chain of Service Awards recipients. In celebration of the chapter’s 45th anniversary, the Chain of Service Awards will honor five individuals who seek to enhance the quality of life for the Middle Georgia community through civic service in the spirit of friendship to all humankind. The Chain of Service Awards will be presented in each of the five facet areas of The Links, Incorporated at the inaugural Hats Off to Service Luncheon on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Middle Georgia State University Professional Sciences Conference Center.

The nomination period begins on June 12, 2017, and all community partners are encouraged to recommend potential award recipients.  The nomination guidelines are as follows:
 
Eligibility: Any individual residing in Macon-Bibb, Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, or Twiggs Counties who is currently engaged in community work and/or civic service that is making measurable and positive impact in the greater community.  Members of The Links, Incorporated and their immediate family members are not eligible to receive the award.
 
Awards Categories: Services to Youth; The Arts; National Trends and Services; International Trends and Services; and Health and Human Services

Nomination Period: Monday, June 12, 2017 – Saturday, July 15, 2017
 
The first class of Chain of Service recipients will be announced in August 2017.
