Please join Macon Arts Alliance and the Arts Roundtable for the 2017 Arts Advocacy Breakfast featuring keynote speaker Rob Gibson, Executive & Artistic Director of the Savannah Music Festival. Emjoy performances from select Arts Roundtable members. MAA will also present the new compelling results for Macon-Bibb County from the Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 Study conducted by Americans for the Arts. Breakfast will be served in the Annex at 7:30 AM. The program begins at 8:00 AM.

About Keynote Speaker Rob Gibson

Since 2002, Rob Gibson has been the Executive & Artistic Director of the Savannah Music Festival, which under his leadership has become Georgia's largest musical arts event and one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world.  He was the founding Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, where he worked for ten years with Wynton Marsalis to build one of the world's most unique arts institutions. Gibson has produced events and/or recordings for The White House, the Museum of Modern Art, and the High Museum of Art.  He served on the faculty of The Juilliard School for nine years. He helped create and co-produce the Peabody Award-winning series "Jazz From Lincoln Center" for National Public Radio, and currently writes and hosts the "Savannah Music Festival Live," carried weekly on Georgia Public Broadcasting and other stations across the U.S.  A graduate of The University of Georgia, he serves on the boards of The University of Georgia Library and Visit Savannah.
